1. Who We Are
ClearBride ("we", "our", or "us") is a wedding planning application available at clearbride.app. We are operated as an independent application. For privacy questions, contact us at clearbride@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Email address and password (for account creation)
- Wedding details (name, date, budget, venue)
- Guest list information (names, email addresses, meal preferences, RSVP status)
- Vendor information and contracts you upload
- Personal notes, vows, and ceremony content you create
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your card details)
Information collected automatically:
- Device type and browser information
- App usage patterns (which features you use)
- Push notification preferences
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and sync your wedding planning data across devices
- Generate AI-powered features (vow writing, vendor recommendations, contract analysis)
- Send push notifications you have opted into
- Process payments for app access
- Respond to support requests
- Improve the app based on how it is used
4. AI Features
ClearBride uses Anthropic's Claude AI to power features including the contract scanner and vendor recommendations. When you use these features, relevant content you provide (such as contract text or vendor search queries) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. This data is used solely to generate your requested output and is not used to train AI models. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing and is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database platform with enterprise-grade security. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and at rest. Your account is protected by your password, which is hashed and never stored in plain text. We recommend using a strong, unique password for your account.
6. Partner Collaboration
If you invite a partner to collaborate on your wedding plan, they will have access to all shared planning data including your guest list, budget, tasks, and vendor information. Your partner's name is stored only on their device and is not shared. You can remove a partner's access at any time through the Partner settings.
7. Payments
Payments for app access are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, but we never receive or store your payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the payment processing and is available at stripe.com/privacy.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. We share data only with the following service providers who help us operate the app:
- Supabase — data storage and authentication
- Anthropic — AI feature processing
- Stripe — payment processing
- Firebase (Google) — push notifications
- Vercel — app hosting
We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or reset your data through the app, your information is permanently deleted from our servers. Some information may be retained in backups for up to 30 days after deletion. To prevent abuse of free trials, we retain a minimal record (email address and trial status only) after account deletion for the purpose of trial eligibility tracking. This does not include any wedding planning data.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict processing of your information
- Data portability

11. Children's Privacy
ClearBride is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
